Fool for Books Giveaway Hop: Ender's Game
The Book Nerds love reading the book and then seeing the movie...and then discussing it at length! We have done this with The Hunger Games, The Lincoln Lawyer, Perks of Being a Wallflower, and more. So for this hop, we are going to give away a book that's soon to be a movie: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. This will give you your chance to read it before you see it. LOTR because they're epic. The HP movies, though with faults, aren't that bad either.

I loved the Pride and Prejudice movie because it really stayed true to the book and brought the characters to life!

I really liked the adaptation of the Perks of Being a Wallflower. I thought it was really well cast and captured the deep tones of the novel really well.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is a book to miniseries adaptation. The 1995 BBC Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth is the best. It follows the book to the letter. It's perfect.

Hmmm.. probably Hunger Games. I thought they did a really good job of turning a 1st person POV book into a movie.

I think the best book to movie adaptation is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Peter Jackson did an amazing job of bringing not only the trilogy, but Tolkien's other works to light.
