ReplyDeleteHmmmm, awkwardly funny? How about funny/gross? Well, the kids and I were having lunch and I was drinking milk when the food went down the wrong way and I started coughing while I had milk in my mouth. I didn't dare open my mouth because I didn't want to spew milk and food all over the place, so I kept coughing with this mouthful of milk and food. Next thing, you know, amidst coughing, the milk came pouring out my nose! The kids were laughing and ewwwwwwwwwwing at the same time! Thank goodness that didn't happen in public!

ReplyDeleteI feel like awkwardness is part of my being. There's never a point of my life where there's ZERO awkwardness towards communicating with others. LOL
Well, I'm a pretty awkward person in general, so. Let's see - today's manifestations of awkwardness? Tripped over my bag and my words in class, showed up in a wrong room and was totally sure it was the right one, and I didn't notice until I got home that one of my shoes had been untied for who known how long.

Yeah I am totally awkward a lot of time, so I don't know if I can pick just once. For now I'll go with running into John Corey Whaley in the aisles at ALA and randomly just started up a conversation with him like he was my BFF.
ReplyDeleteIt was my class`s initation last Friday and we had dress up a superheroes. I was the Black Widow and I had to introduce myself in front of a lot of people. When it was time talk into the microphone I couldn`t remember who I was supposed to be :D But then I did remember, so it was an awkward pause :D
ReplyDeleteI have this thing with throwing up in public places when i was little - middle of school hallway and during a basketball game in the bleachers. Not fun!
ReplyDeleteI am just an awkward person by default, haha. This happened about 5 years ago, I was in eighth grade and it was the day before Fall break. The principal was doing the afternoon announcements before we left school and he said do be careful not to fall and break anything during the break (funny dude... right?) and right after he said that, I fell walking toward the door of the classroom. It was hilarious to everyone, including me, haha. :)
