We have come to Chapter 22 of Book 1: Significance and here are the highlights:
I've been Caleb's friend for 10 years and I've never seen him with a girl, not once. Not even prom, he just skipped it. The guy's a monk. ---Vic

Caleb: I like to read too, that doesn't make you a nerd. Unless you're calling me one.

I also wondered why we were chosen so young when everyone else imprinted in their early twenties; appropriate marriage age. There had to be a reason, but right now, I was just scared.
