Mary's Review:
Everyone knows that I have a "slight" obsession with Shelly Crane's writing. She has quickly became one of most favorite authors. Her talents as an author still put my in awe. When she realized that I had not read this series yet she was kind enough to loan me the books to read them. I had been so busy reading other books that this book series of Shelly's kept getting pushed down my "to-read" list. Then finally I was able to have to find the time to read these. Of course, I was not disappointed at all!
What I liked about the series: I loved all the characters. When I first started Collide I thought it was just going to be about Sherry and Merrick, their love and the battle. Well, I was WRONG! There are a lot of characters in this series and each one holds a special place in the book and in the story. I quickly fell in love with them all. I enjoyed the fight of good vs. evil and seeing character fall in love (even through the dark times).
What I did not like: Without giving out too much, it's the death and/or suffering of a character that I do not know. Of course, there needs to be death and pain for good to prevail, but I still do not like it.
Favorite Character: There are several that I love in this series but Sherry (by far) is my favorite. She puts everyone before her and she is the first to protect everyone. I love watching her love, compassion, and fierceness grow throughout the books! She is an amazing character!
I really thought that Shelly was going to end this with three books. I was wrong. The forth installment will be out later this year. I can say that I will be waiting for it!
