REVIEW:
The moment I was done with Slammed, I knew I had to read Point of Retreat. I was very lucky that Colleen Hoover actually sent me a eBook. So, I definitely want to give a big Book Nerd THANK YOU for this.
I read this book within a few hours. It was different than Slammed. One is that it is in Will's point of view. I like that because we can see the situation from a different perceptive. Not that I did not enjoy Layken's point of view, but change is good thing (sometimes).
Two, I CRIED A LOT MORE IN THIS BOOK! I did not see a few of the twist and turns that came with this book. I would suggest that you have tissues ready!
Three, we have Sherry and Kiersten. I do not think Colleen Hoover could have created 2 better characters to go with this book. I loved them from the moment they appeared in Layken's and Will's life. It was a breath of freshness and laughter.
I still love that Colleen Hoover threw in some Slam Poetry. It really tied the story together so much more.
Of course I am going to keep this spoiler free but TRUST ME this is just as good as Slammed and I could not put it down. Layken and Will are still struggling through a lot together and you can feel it. Colleen Hoover (like I said before) is so talented as an author because of the emotions that she puts you through. All I could do was keep reading.
Again, I wold recommend this book. It is one that you will be sad if you did not read it.
Thank you so much for these amazing reviews!!! LOVE THEM! And wow! You're a fast reader.
