Like his name, Gray is dark and stormy. Dylan, a girl always searching for what's next, seemingly unable to settle down, is the exact opposite: full of light and life. On the outside, they seem like an unlikely couple. But looks can be deceiving and besides, opposites attract.
What starts as friendship, turns into admiration, respect and caring, until finally these two lone souls find they are truly in love with each other.
But staying in love is not as easy as falling in love. If Dylan and Gray want their love to last, they're going to have to work at it. And learn that sometimes love means having to say you're sorry.
MARY'S REVIEW:
Shocked! I was just shocked when I received this ARC! I enjoyed Katie's book Awaken so much that I could not wait until this book came out. Now, this is not part of the Awaken series but, nonetheless, I was excited. I do not think I have ever cried so much or wanted two people together as much as I did in this book.
Katie truly takes you on an emotional roller coaster and I am very surprised that this is a stand-alone book. By the time the ending came, I was almost shouting for more! Gray and Dylan are so much the opposite of each other, that they are perfect together. One day Dylan just walks up to Gray and his world changes. I really do not want to give too much away because Katie is such an amazing author that I think everyone should read it. However, here is what I will tell: this is truly a wonderful love story. It is so believable that you think you are going through these barriers with Gray and Dylan.
Also, I like that Katie went back and forth on the point-of-views. I like that because you can grasp all the content of the story from both of the main character. Plus, Katie did leave the ending open (just a little bit) if she decides to write another (which I would love for her to do!! HINT HINT)
I am now counting down the days until Middle Ground which is Book 2 of the Awaken series!!
Love the dual perspectives as well. Thanks for reivew.
